Day 11 - Tran Hung Dao (A National Hero)

It is another normal day in Ha Long Bay so I think I will talk about Tran Hung Dao. Who is he? Well, he was a prince and general of Viet Nam about one thousand years ago. He is the most famous national hero of Viet Nam because he defeated China and the Mongols.

I read online there are temples for him everywhere. People worship him like a god. I see his statues in shops around town too. Usually he's dressed in armor and holding a spear.

In the first few days of being in Ha Long, I got to visit a Tran Hung Dao temple. In there  saw his statue, statues of his two daughters, and his advisors too. People were there to pray for fortune and health.

I was paying respects to Tran Hung Dao when I had visions of Tran Hung Dao and his army. Turns out in my past life, I was soldier under his command. I saw it so clear, like the kinds of weapons we used. Tran Hung Dao had a jade spear. I had some knives and a sword. That's when the shaman knew I had yin eyes.
