Day Six - A Normal Day in Ha Long Bay
October 16, 2019
Ahoy seagulls, wait, no, you are land dwellers. Har har har. Well yee day was normal and I am going to get back to normal talking instead pirate language.
For breakfast we went to some food stalls in an alley way near my school. I had banh bao (steamed bread stuffed with meats and eggs), vegetarian scrambled eggs, cha gio (pork sausage), xoi (sticky rice), and ice tea – all Vietnamese food I love. When my mom went to pay, it all cost only $1.50!! I was surprised that it did not cost a lot at all.
Then I had to go to the place where I get tutored. Normally it is for 3 hours or more but now because I get my work done faster, I can leave after 2 hours. Today it rained so I couldn't go swimming. So, my mom went to get me a chess set and paper to draw instead. At the supply store I saw Halloween stuff. My mom was right, they do celebrate Halloween in Vietnam. I literally cried when I thought I may miss Halloween. Now I can celebrate in Viet Nam too.
Then we went to look for some ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress). I was bored but my mom collects ao dai, so I had to go. She also wanted to get a haircut but they didn't know how to cut her hair in the salon. The salon had beautiful big fish, the size of my hand!
Oh, and when I walked on the street I saw a statue of the the general I saw in my vision. I told my mom about it and she later told the Shaman. She Shaman showed me a picture of the general and he looked just like in my vision. He was commanding the army I was in. I also three dragons then. The Shaman said my "sight" is very powerful. That's all.
Bye here are some pics. It's really all I did today it kinda a kid's average day, so the day was normal, - _ -

Side comment: Why couldn't they cut your mom's hair
interesting stuff I learned. Now for highlights. The first graders of Room 4 (That's Mrs. Tomas's room) gave us thank you cards. Crumple is still hanging in there. Junior left for Hawai'i yesterday. The most interesting piece of news is that there is a spirit in the classroom but everytime I try to get a good look it flits away. that is all for now. Bye!
