Phong Nha

Hay guys I am going to tell you about are trip to Phong Nha . So we got to go on a train. we went to a hotel and I got to swim in race with Boys and girls.  And I won all of the races. Then my Mommy went Son Doong cave it’s the biggest cave in the world. It takes 2 Days to get to the cave, 3 nights to camp, and 2 days to get out. Basically 4 days 3 nights.

We went to a farm stay. It’s like a hotel with a big pool. Me and my daddy had a bug battle. We saw a spider bigger than a baseball. At the last day we went on a bike ride through a village and a boat ride on Phong Nha River. Then we went swimming. Then we went back on a train to get to Da Nang. And I hope you like my blog. I went to a cave  and I saw stilagtights and stilagmights. I had to woc a long time to get to the cave. I we cunooin. I went to the pool and had a coke smoie toc a pic in kones hand. Day Six - A Normal Day in Ha Long Bay

October 16, 2019 Ahoy seagulls, wait, no, you are land dwellers. Har har har. Well yee day was normal and I am going to get back to normal talking instead pirate language. For breakfast we went to some food stalls in an alley way near my school. I had banh bao (steamed bread stuffed with meats and eggs), vegetarian scrambled eggs, cha gio (pork sausage), xoi (sticky rice), and ice tea – all Vietnamese food I love. When my mom went to pay, it all cost only $1.50!! I was surprised that it did not cost a lot at all. Then I had to go to the place where I get tutored. Normally it is for 3 hours or more but now because I get my work done faster, I can leave after 2 hours. Today it rained so I couldn't go swimming. So, my mom went to get me a chess set and paper to draw instead. At the supply store I saw Halloween stuff. My mom was right, they do celebrate Halloween in Vietnam. Heading Back to Ha Long Bay

I am going to Ha Long Bay with my mother. She is a professor that is researching in Vietnam. I will learn about the history of the Bay. I know that there are high levels of pollution there. I saw it last time I went to Ha Long. I will try to learn more about the environment and try to help with clean up. My mother will be working with a Shaman who is a spiritual healer. I sometimes think I have special powers too. For instance, I can sometimes see spirits an channel the dead. Ha Long Bay is a magical place with many spiritual wonders. I can hardly wait to go again. I will go swimming every day if I finish my homework from Ms. Chan. I wish this was a vacation with no homework but it sadly is :( At least I can blog to you dudes and dudettes of the fun I am having. This was a picture of me when I was in Ha Long Bay at 8 years old.

Day Three - The Market

October 13, 2019 The Market  This morning Co  Oanh and Bi came to see us ( wife and son of the Shaman) . We were hungry, so they took us to have  banh cuon  for breakfast, it is  some sort of rice dish with meat. I had it many times before. It was pretty good here, especially cha lua ( fish patty)  that came with it. But, I think it was made of squid instead, cha muc. Then we went to a coffee shop. We were there for a LOOOONG time because my mom ordered filter drip coffee and it takes forever to drip (see pix). I didn't mind because Bi knows a lot of kids in the neighborhood and we hung out playing miniature pool and even crossed the street by ourselves to meet with other kids.  After breakfast we went to the market to get ingredients to make lunch.  The market was crazy because people drove TANKS in there. LOL Okay, just kidding, why would they do that? It is still crazy though, because instead of tanks, they drove mopeds and motorbikes...
