Day Three - The Market

October 13, 2019 The Market  This morning Co  Oanh and Bi came to see us ( wife and son of the Shaman) . We were hungry, so they took us to have  banh cuon  for breakfast, it is  some sort of rice dish with meat. I had it many times before. It was pretty good here, especially cha lua ( fish patty)  that came with it. But, I think it was made of squid instead, cha muc. Then we went to a coffee shop. We were there for a LOOOONG time because my mom ordered filter drip coffee and it takes forever to drip (see pix). I didn't mind because Bi knows a lot of kids in the neighborhood and we hung out playing miniature pool and even crossed the street by ourselves to meet with other kids.  After breakfast we went to the market to get ingredients to make lunch.  The market was crazy because people drove TANKS in there. LOL Okay, just kidding, why would they do that? It is still crazy though, because instead of tanks, they drove mopeds and motorbikes...

Heading Back to Ha Long Bay

I am going to Ha Long Bay with my mother. She is a professor that is researching in Vietnam. I will learn about the history of the Bay. I know that there are high levels of pollution there. I saw it last time I went to Ha Long. I will try to learn more about the environment and try to help with clean up. My mother will be working with a Shaman who is a spiritual healer. I sometimes think I have special powers too. For instance, I can sometimes see spirits an channel the dead. Ha Long Bay is a magical place with many spiritual wonders. I can hardly wait to go again. I will go swimming every day if I finish my homework from Ms. Chan. I wish this was a vacation with no homework but it sadly is :( At least I can blog to you dudes and dudettes of the fun I am having. This was a picture of me when I was in Ha Long Bay at 8 years old.

Day Four - the florpus hole (aka New School)

Day Four: The big FLORPUS HOLE (aka swimming and school) Hey guys it's yo boy sending feedback to you so as you can see the title FLORPUS HOLE. It's really bad. I am going to just get to good part than the FLORPUS HOLE part (FLORPUS HOLE is from the movie INVADER ZIM ENTER THE FLORPUS# Terry got me into it). For breakfast we had the Ha Long Bay version of pho. It has almost the same noodles but with seafood instead of beef. I usually do not like shrimp but the mantis shrimp is really good. I ate everything in my bowl. This part was for Ms. Chan because she likes to hear about the food.   Okay, the good part of today is that I got to go to the beach and it was fun. On the way there, I started my collection of shells. If I collect enough, I'll bring back one for everyone. When we got to the beach it was deserted, so we had it all to ourselves.
